Recomendaciones para bibliotecarios universitarios a la hora de poner en funcionamiento una tebeoteca. Se definen los distintos conceptos (historietas gráficas, cómics…), los formatos físicos (tebeos, álbumes, novelas gráficas), se dan unas recomendaciones sobre catalogación y clasificación y por último unos consejos sobre realización de signaturas, tejuelos y gestión de la colección.

La percepción de orden o desorden en un espacio puede influir o condicionar el comportamiento humano. Presentamos la experiencia llevada a cabo en la Biblioteca Fábrica de Armas, del campus de Toledo de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, en la búsqueda de un espacio de silencio mediante la redistribución del mobiliario. Justificamos el resultado obtenido a través de la Teoría de las ventanas rotas y reflexionamos sobre el ruido y el silencio en una biblioteca universitaria. Así mismo planteamos la necesidad de espacios diferenciados para dar respuesta a las diferentes formas de aprendizaje existentes en la universidad actualmente.
The perception of the order or disorder in a space can influence or determine the human behaviour. In this article, we present the experience performed in the library Fábrica de Armas at University of Castilla-La Mancha, Toledo Campus, looking for a silence space through furniture distribution. We justify the obtained result through the Broken windows theory and we reflect on the noise and silence in an university library. Likewise, we consider the necessity of differentiated spaces in order to meet the current needs of different ways of learning at university.
El programa profesional Erasmus+ es una buena oportunidad que la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha ofrece al personal de administración y servicios desde hace algunos años. Este programa permite intercambiar experiencias profesionales con otros colegas de diferentes universidades europeas. En este caso concreto, se trata de la experiencia vivida en las bibliotecas de la Universidad de Florencia. A lo largo de una programación de cinco días, nos introduciremos en la práctica diaria de los procesos y servicios bibliotecarios de estas bibliotecas.
The Erasmus+ professional programme is a beneficial opportunity that the University of Castilla-La Mancha offers to the administrative and service staff. This programme permits to exchange professional experiences with other colleagues from different European Universities for some years. In this particular case, it is a personal experience in the libraries of the University of Florence. During five days, we will develop a programme about library processes and services.

Se analiza el diseño de una Comicteca, su gestión, su organización y el desarrollo y difusión de las colecciones, tomando como punto de partida la experiencia de la Biblioteca Pública del Estado de Ciudad Real (España), tomada como referencia a nivel nacional por el Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deportes, así como una breve historia del Cómic, y los principales eventos que se organizan en el mundo. El autor es además el Comisario de la gran Exposición Historia del Comic 1897-2018 que ya circula por toda Castilla La-Mancha.
This article analyzes the design of a comics library, its management, its organization and the development and the diffusion of the collections taking as a starting point the experience of the State Public Library of Ciudad Real (Spain), taken as reference at national level by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, as well as a brief history of the Comic, and the main events that are organized in the world. The author is also the Commissioner of the great History Exhibition of the Comic 1897-2018 that already circulates throughout Castilla La-Mancha.

La transformación del entramado jurídico y tecnológico que ha venido de la mano de la administración electrónica ha introducido profundos cambios en el panorama archivístico. Los archivos en general y, en particular, los universitarios, como el de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) han tenido que diseñar sistemas que sean capaces de compaginar las nuevas realidades con la tradición sobre la que se sustentan conceptos fundamentales como los derechos de la comunidad universitaria y los criterios de autenticidad, integridad, confidencialidad y disponibilidad. En este contexto, la UCLM se encuentra en pleno desarrollo de un proyecto, el que se presenta en este trabajo, para dotarse de un sistema de tramitación administrativa y archivo en el que han colaborado diferentes entidades: Telefónica, Tangram y Odilo. Estas empresas tecnológicas son las que proporcionan las plataformas tecnológicas y actividades necesarias a través de un modelo basado en servicios.
The transformation of the legal and technological framework that derives from the electronic administration has introduced deep changes in the archival panorama. The archives in general and, in particular, the academic ones (the case of the University of Castilla-La Mancha-UCLM), have had to design systems that are capable of combining the new realities with the tradition on which fundamental concepts are based: rights of the university community and the criteria of authenticity, integrity, confidentiality and availability. In this context, the UCLM is in full development of a project, which is presented in this work, to provide a system of e-administration management and archive in which different entities have collaborated: Telefónica, Tangram and Odilo. These technological companies provide the technological platforms and necessary activities through a service-based model.
Nos encontramos ante unos retos globales de nuevas dimensiones, la mayoría relacionados entre sí y recogidos en gran parte en la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas. Para contribuir a la consecución de la Agenda 2030, el conocimiento es uno de los elementos clave. Las universidades desempeñan un papel primordial a la hora de contribuir al desarrollo sostenible. Sin embargo, actualmente nos encontramos con diferentes obstáculos que impiden sumar y compartir conocimiento con eficiencia y eficacia. Ante este contexto, también las universidades tienen que cambiar y replantearse su papel en la sociedad. En la UOC apostamos por que esta transformación implique convertirnos en nodos de conocimiento. Para ello hemos puesto en marcha el Plan de acción de Conocimiento Abierto que presentamos y analizamos en este artículo.
We are faced with global challenges of new dimensions, most of which are interrelated. The majority are included in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Knowledge is one of the key elements for achieving the 2030 Agenda. Universities play a vital role in contributing to sustainable development. However, we are currently faced with obstacles that prevent us from adding and sharing our knowledge efficiently and effectively. In this context, universities must change and reconsider their role in society. At the UOC, we are committed to transformation through becoming a knowledge hub. For that reason, we kicked of an Open Knowledge Action Plan which we present and analyse in this article.
Desde que se publicó la Iniciativa de Budapest para el Acceso Abierto se ha ido avanzando desde todas las partes interesadas en el sistema de publicación científica. Han aparecido revistas y plataformas que ofrecen resultados de la investigación sin restricciones de acceso e incluso permiten su reutilización. Las instituciones han desarrollado infraestructuras para ofrecer vías de acceso alternativas a aquellos contenidos que se encuentran en publicaciones cuyo acceso está condicionado a un pago. Y estas mismas publicaciones han establecido sistemas para que los investigadores puedan permitir que sus contribuciones estén accesibles sin restricciones. Actualmente nos encontramos en un estado de transición donde todos estos modelos de acceso a las publicaciones coexisten pero ¿cuál es el modelo más utilizado por nuestros investigadores? ¿Cuántas publicaciones de nuestra institución se encuentran accesibles para el público en general? En este artículo se intentará proporcionar diferentes estrategias para analizar el estado del acceso abierto en una universidad para poder establecer objetivos de futuro.
Since the Budapest Open Access Initiative was published there have been steps forward from all the stakeholders involved in the scholarly publication system. Journals and platforms have appeared providing research outputs without any restriction on access and even allowing reuse. Institutions have developed infrastructures to offer alternative ways of access to those contents available in paywalled publications. And these publications have established systems to allow researchers to provide access to their individual contributions without any restriction. In this moment we are in a transition period where all these different access models coexist but, which model is the most used by our researchers? How many publications from our institution are publicly available? This article will try to provide different strategies to analyse the state of open access in a university to facilitate the establishment of objectives for the future.
El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo exponer las reflexiones realizadas para definir las principales guías en el diseño e implantación de la política institucional de Open Science -OS- en la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha -UCLM- para que ésta sea congruente con los compromisos adquiridos con la adhesión a la Declaración de Berlín y, en los últimos meses, con la asunción de los compromisos CRUE ante la OS. Partiendo del marco de obligaciones actual, derivado de los mandatos de ámbito nacional y europeo, y del diagnóstico de la situación de Open Access a partir de las estadísticas del repositorio institucional de la UCLM RUIdeRA (exclusivamente depósitos de publicaciones de investigación: artículos y tesis doctorales) intentaremos determinar la efectividad de los mandatos externos y la necesidad y conveniencia de diseñar nuestra política institucional de OS en términos de recomendación o requerimiento. Así mismo, se analizarán las implicaciones organizativas y económicas que podrían derivarse de la implantación y cuya anticipación modela la política de Ciencia Abierta a desarrollar.
The present paper exposes some reflections made to define the main guidelines in the design and implementation of the Open Science institutional policy at the University of Castilla-La Mancha -UCLM-. This policy should be consistent with the commitments made with the adherence to the Berlin Declaration and, recently, with the assumption of CRUE commitments to the Open Science. Starting from the framework of current obligations, based on the mandates of National and European level, and on the diagnosis of the Open Access situation from the statistics of the institutional repository of the UCLM RUIdeRA (deposits of research publications exclusively: articles and doctoral theses), this paper tries to determine the success of those external mandates and the need and convenience of designing our own Open Science Institutional Policy in terms of recommendation or in terms of requirement. Furthermore, the organizational and economic implications that could be developed from its implementation are analysed.
Este artículo analiza, desde una perspectiva profesional, la irrupción tardía de las cuestiones relacionadas con la comunicación científica dentro de las agendas de discusión y de decisión de los gestores públicos en materia de I+D, el papel que han jugado las bibliotecas académicas en el desarrollo del movimiento a favor del open access, el diseño y los logros de las primeras políticas que lo han apoyado, y la disrupción que supone en el mercado de la información científica el nuevo concepto de open science.
This article analyzes, from a professional perspective, the late emergence of issues related to scientific communication within the discussion and decision agendas of public managers in the field of R&D, the role that academic libraries have played in the development of the movement in favor of open access, the design and achievements of the first policies that have supported it, and the disruption of the new concept of open science in the market of scientific information.
El artículo es una reflexión sobre la Open Science y el cambio que representa para todos los agentes implicados en él: financiadores, investigadores y editores. El cambio, necesario e imprescindible, ya que el sistema actual de acceso a la información y de generación, evaluación y difusión del conocimiento es insostenible, sólo parece ser posible con la participación y el acuerdo de todos los agentes implicados y mediante la persuasión y el convencimiento de su necesidad, sin imposiciones ni plazos predeterminados. La reflexión tiene su raíz en la aprobación reciente por parte de la Asamblea General de Crue Universidades Españolas de un documento de compromisos ante la Open Science con el fin de tener un conocimiento dinámico del estado de las universidades españolas respecto a su implantación; impulsar un posicionamiento de la Administración, a través del propio posicionamiento de Crue, y estar presente como sistema universitario español en los diferentes foros europeos en los que se debate el tema.
This article is a reflection on Open Science and the change it represents for everyone involved in it: funders, researchers and editors. The change, both necessary and essential, since the current system of access to information and generation, evaluation and dissemination of knowledge is unsustainable, appears to only be possible with the participation and agreement of all the agents involved and through persuading and convincing them of the need for it, with no imposition nor predetermined deadlines. The reflection is rooted in the recent approval by the General Assembly of Crue (Conference of Spanish University Rectors) of a document of commitments to Open Science in order to have a dynamic understanding of the state of its implementation in Spanish universities; to promote a stance in the Administration, through Crue's own stance, and to be present as a Spanish university system in the various European forums where the subject is discussed.
Este artículo describe las actividades del Consorcio Madroño en relación con su compromiso con el Acceso Abierto y con la Ciencia, especialmente en el desarrollo de e-cienciaDatos, su repositorio de datos de investigación. Se describen las características de este repositorio y su puesta en marcha, así como algunos de los proyectos que ha permitido desarrollar como ejemplos de buenas prácticas. Por último, se informa sobre las estadísticas de uso y los planes de futuro.
This article describes the activities of the Madroño Consortium in relation to its commitment to Open Access and to Open Science, especially in the development of e-cienciaDatos, his research data repository. It describes the characteristics of this repository and its implementation, as well as some of the projects that it has allowed to develop as examples of good practices. Finally, it is informed about use statistics and future plans.
Se analiza el rol que los archivos universitarios pueden desempeñar como gestores de documentos administrativos, trabajos científicos y datos de la institución en el contexto del movimiento Open Science y cómo el archivo puede contribuir a la aplicación efectiva del Open Science en la universidad.
The role that university archives can and should play as managers of administrative documents, scientific papers and research data of the institution in the context of the Open Access movement is analyzed. Also, it’s been explained how the archive can contribute to the effective application of Open Science in the university.
Reflexiones sobre la problemática actual y el futuro de la preservación de la información y los documentos electrónicos −digitales y digitalizados− que se conservan en los archivos administrativos e históricos y en otras instituciones que gestionan o conservan documentación. El trabajo hace especial referencia al modelo Open Archival Information System (OAIS) de la norma ISO 14721 como parte de un sistema de preservación institucional.
Some thoughts about the current problems and future of preservation of digital and digitized records and documents kept in the administrative and historical archives and in other institutions that manage or preserve documentation. The work makes special reference to the Open Archival Information System model (OAIS) of the ISO 14721 standard as part of an institutional preservation system.
En las universidades españolas, la investigación es uno de los principales activos de la institución, que junto a la innovación y al desarrollo tecnológico han configurado un nuevo escenario para las bibliotecas universitarias que han tenido que adaptarse a
esta nueva dimensión de gestoras del conocimiento científico. En muchas de ellas se han ido creando servicios de soporte a la investigación para dar respuesta a estas nuevas necesidades. En este trabajo se hace un estudio del crecimiento de Servicio
de Apoyo a la Investigación de la Biblioteca de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, con un análisis de las diferentes líneas de actuación.
In Spanish universities, research is one of the main assets. Together with technological innovation and development a new dimension has been created for university libraries to act as a management of scientific knowledge. Many of them have created research support services to respond to these new needs. In this work, a study is made of the growth of the Research Support Service of the Library of the University of Castilla-La Mancha, with an analysis of the different guidelines of action.
La apertura, fiabilidad e interoperabilidad de la información científica son aspectos cada vez más relevantes para la comunidad científica. Para consolidar y mantener buenas prácticas se considera necesario establecer una comunidad de práctica, constituidas por un dominio, una comunidad y una práctica. A partir del concepto de comunidad de práctica, ORCID estructura su concepto de consorcio, de forma que las estrategias e intercambio de conocimiento y prácticas globales se puedan adaptar a los diferentes contextos nacionales y sectoriales. Este texto explora estas estrategias, muestra experiencias de diferentes consorcios de ORCID y presenta posibles escenarios de realización en el contexto español.
Openness, reliability and interoperability of research information are increasingly relevant aspects for the research community. To consolidate and maintain good practices, it is considered necessary to establish a community of practice, consisting of a domain, a community and a practice. Based on the concept of community of practice, ORCID structures its consortium concept so that strategies and exchange of global knowledge and practices can be adapted to different national and sectoral contexts. This text explores these strategies, shows experiences of different ORCID consortia and presents possible implementation scenarios in the Spanish context.
Este artículo es una reflexión sobre los recursos electrónicos y el cambio esperado en un futuro cercano para todos los agentes implicados en él: financiadores, investigadores, editores, proveedores de tecnología y agregadores de contenidos. Ya empiezan a aparecer los “Acuerdos Transformativos” y se ven como un momento de transición hasta que tengamos un escenario real de Open Science. En esta nueva realidad, los agentes financiadores deberán indicar las Guidelines para publicación en Open Access (OA), así como las nuevas o alternativas métricas que medirán el impacto de la investigación en la sociedad. Los editores deberán adaptarse y crear sistemas de producción editorial que soporten artículos cada vez más atomizados y participativos. La distribución de los contenidos cambiará y los journals perderán peso. La tecnología tendrá mucho que decir, y la Inteligencia Artificial y la Realidad Virtual apoyarán la producción y la diseminación del conocimiento. Finalmente, miraremos el papel que China quiere desarrollar en los próximos años y su impacto en el sistema.
This article is a reflection on Electronic Resources and the expected change in the near future for all agents involved in it: funders, researchers, publishers, technology providers and content aggregators. The “Transformative Agreements” are beginning to appear and are seen as a moment of transition until we have a real Open Science scenario. In this new reality, the funders must indicate the Guidelines for publication in Open Access (OA), as well as the new or alternative metric that will measure the impact of research on society. Publishers must adapt and create editorial production systems that support increasingly atomized and participatory articles. The distribution of content will change, and journals will lose power. Technology will have much to say, and Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality will support the production and dissemination of knowledge. Finally, we will look at the role that China wants to play in the coming years and its impact on the whole system.
Se presenta el trabajo desarrollado en el Archivo de la Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha durante los meses de marzo a septiembre de 2020 en los que se vio obligado a adaptar el servicio al teletrabajo tras decretarse en España el estado de alarma debido a la epidemia de COVID-19.
This paper presents the work developed in the Archive of the University of Castilla-La Mancha during the months from March to September 2020 when it was necessary to adapt the service to teleworking after the state of alarm was decreed in Spain due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Desde la llegada de la pandemia conocida como COVID-19 muchos aspectos de nuestras vidas se han visto alterados, entre ellos los relacionados con nuestras facetas sociales, personales, y profesionales. En estas líneas se comenta qué soluciones se han aplicado desde el Archivo de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas para afrontar los nuevos retos.
Since the arrival of the pandemic known as COVID-19, many aspects of our lives have been altered, including those related to our social, personal, and professional facets. These lines comment on the solutions that have been applied from the Comillas Pontifical University Archive to face the new challenges.
Los archivos juegan un papel fundamental en cualquier organización. El archivo general de la Universidad es el servicio encargado de custodiar y mantener todos los documentos de cualquier naturaleza, época y soporte material del patrimonio de la UNED, para facilitar a la comunidad universitaria el acceso a la información contenida en ellos. La pandemia del COVID-19 nos ha obligado a variar la metodología de trabajo con respecto al préstamo de expedientes de las unidades productoras. La mayor parte de las actividades administrativa han tenido que adaptarse a la nueva situación para seguir prestando sus servicios a la Comunidad Universitaria. En el Archivo General hemos seguido prestando nuestros documentos a los negociados sin que en ningún momento se haya detenido la actividad universitaria. La metodología que hemos seguido ha sido la de la digitalización de los documentos junto con el almacenamiento en un entorno cloud. Hemos implementado un repositorio digital en línea para poder dar ese servicio a nuestros negociados.
Archives play a fundamental role in any organization. The general archive of the University is the service in charge of guarding and maintaining all documents of any nature, period and material support of the UNED heritage, to facilitate the university community access to the information contained therein. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to vary the work methodology with respect to the loan of files from the producing units. Most of the administrative activities have had to adapt to the new situation in order to continue providing their services to the University Community. At the General Archive, we have continued to carry out the document loan activity without ever stopping it. The methodology that we have followed has been the digitization of documents together with storage in a cloud environment. We have implemented an online digital repository to be able to provide this service to our business units.
La finalidad de este artículo es presentar las experiencias concretas en materia de difusión del patrimonio documental llevadas a cabo en el Archivo de la Universidad de Zaragoza desde la declaración del estado de alarma (14 de marzo de 2020) hasta la finalización de la Semana Internacional de los Archivos (14 de junio de 2020). Se concluye que, en tiempos de pandemia, es posible dar visibilidad al archivo dando a conocer sus fondos documentales y sus servicios a través de su página web, catálogos en línea y redes sociales.
The aim of this article is showing the specific experiences on the diffusion of documental patrimony carried out at the University of Zaragoza’s Archive since the proclamation of the state of alarm (March 14, 2020) until the end of the International Week of Archives (June 14, 2020). The conclusion is that, during pandemic times, it is possible to make archives and their documentary collections visible through their web sites, on-line catalogues, and social networks.
Este artículo expone la repercusión de la pandemia de la COVID-19 en los archivos universitarios concretándola en la experiencia vivida en el Archivo de la Universidad de Salamanca. Defiende la idea de que los archivos viven habitualmente en una situación crítica y que por ello el parón de la pandemia ha resultado una oportunidad para ponerse al día en algunas tareas pendientes.
This article exposes the repercussion of the COVID-19 pandemic in the university archives, specifying it in the experience lived in the Archive of the University of Salamanca. It defends the idea that the archives usually live in a critical situation and that therefore the halt in activity as a result of the pandemic has been an opportunity to catch up on some pending tasks.
Este artículo explica la iniciativa del Archivo de la Universidad de Alcalá ‘Patrimonio Audiovisual del Confinamiento’. El Archivo de la Universidad de Alcalá llevó a cabo esta actividad para preservar el patrimonio audiovisual y fotográfico creado por la comunidad universitaria y los ciudadanos de Alcalá durante marzo y junio de 2020 en tiempos de pandemia. Esta iniciativa surgió de la necesidad de documentar un año histórico.
This paper develops the Universidad de Alcalá Archive iniciative ‘Audiovisual fund for confinement’. The Archive carried out this activity in order to preserve the audiovisual and photographic heritage created by the university community and Alcalá citizens during March and June of 2020 in pandemic times. This initiative emerged from the need to provide documentary evidence of an historical year.
Se analiza la administración electrónica y la gestión de documentos electrónicos de la Universitat de Barcelona durante el período de la pandemia por el COVID-19. A través de la experiencia como archivero especializado, se comprueba como la excepcionalidad de la situación ha sacudido cimientos, pero también ha apuntalado decisiones y abierto viejas y nuevas oportunidades en la continua implementación del sistema de gestión documental institucional.
Below is the experience, in times of the COVID-19 pandemic, as archivist specialized in eGovernment and electronic document management system at the University of Barcelona and how this unexpected situation has shaken some core record management believes but also how some new opportunities and solutions came up to face the challenge to stay on track on the continuous developing and implementation of the institutional records management system.
